 The Origin and Development of Chieftaincy among the Anlo-Ewe is beautiful book design with a hardcover launched at Angola Donorgbor Basic School.

The book is written by Prof. Torgbui Damadzi IV.

The book which offers a detailed exploration of Anlo-Ewe history, culture and chieftaincy. The author explain how he used his lifelong research and experience in writing the book.

The  Origin and Development of Chieftaincy among the Anlo-Ewe comprises ten chapters.


Chapter one of the book provides an overview of the history of the migration and settlement patterns and culture of the Anlo-Ewe.

Chapter two delves into the emergence and and evolution of Chieftaincy within the Dogbo-Anlo-Ewe context 

The third chapter talk about the sociopolitical organization of the Anlo-Ewe and the responsibility of the various clans.

Chapter four describes the processes of enthronement, enstoolment, and installation of Chiefs.



The final chapter which is chapter ten Summarizes the finding and outline future directions.
The chairman of the program Torgbiga Dutor Wenya III added the important of the book and why it has to be launch in the year 2025.

BEAUTIFUL RESORTS ARE BEING BUILT IN KETA BUT WE THE LOCAL PEOPLE ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO VISIT THEM I just left Meet-Me-There, one of the tourist places in the Keta tourism area. It was built by a white person a few years ago. As a teenager, I used to go there while it was being built, and we (my friends and I) were among the first frequent visitors who patronized the place. It wasn't popular and definitely wasn't making big money. Today, we are being told "Guests Only."  A while ago, I visited the same place with visitors from Accra. My friends were excited to see the place, and as the "mayor" of Keta tourism, I took them around. But when we got to Meet-Me-There, we were told we could not visit the place, buy water or food because of COVID. I tried to talk to the owners (a white man sitting comfortably in his office with his girlfriend (maybe)). He insisted that the COVID rules put in place by the management must be followed.
